Last night's Emmys started off with a fun, over the top performance of Bruce Springsteens Born to Run by the cast of Glee, Tina Fey, Joel McHale and others. The light, entertaining feel continued throughout the entire night, with Jimmy Fallon a surprisingly good host who brought energy and did a great tribute to some of the fallen TV shows over the past year.
There werent too many surprises among the winners, (unless you count the surprise that most of the people who won actually deserved it), but the show was a joy to watch anyway. Now, if they can only put this kind of energy into the Oscars, maybe people would tune in. And, after that Ricky Gervais moment last night, who isnt excited about this years Golden Globes?
