Taking place in the 100,000-gallon Heart of the Sea exhibit, the experience is an hour long and is designed for guests ages 10 and up. Divers can expect to see a variety of fish, eagle rays, and bonnethead sharks, as well as the exhibit’s coral caves.
Even if you don't know how to swim, this experience allows you to glide through the water with technology that allows you to breathe and move freely around the tank via a helmet.
“We are surrounded by water and wildlife but life under the surface remains a mystery. Our new underwater interaction provides the rare opportunity for more people, regardless of their ability to swim, to experience the aquatic world from the ocean floor surrounded by charismatic sea life.” Roger Germann, CEO of The Florida Aquarium.
Tickets can be purchased on the Aquarium website for $95.
