The gospel according to Matthews

The MSNBC pundit heads to Tampa to discuss his latest book.

Chris Matthews’ mug should probably be the go-to illustration for any dictionary definition of “pundit.”

As host of the daily political show Hardball on MSNBC, he’s been delighting and enraging cable news watchers for nearly 15 years now. Matthews wasn’t always a commentator, though; back in the day he toiled under national Democrats like Jimmy Carter and Tip O’Neill, and he’s just written a new book about one of his idols, former President John F. Kennedy, titled Jack Kennedy: Elusive Hero.

Matthews is coming to Tampa this Saturday to talk about his book, as well as the political scene, at an event sponsored by Inwood Books.

Books can be purchased at the event, but reserving copies is strongly advised.
