It’s that time of year when the streets of downtown St. Petersburg are filled with tourists and parking becomes impossible—and we’re not talking about snowbird season. The Firestone Grand Prix is back with three-days of IndyCar racing that’ll wake up sleeping college kids as tire-burning drivers race from Alfred Whitted Airport to the Dali Museum and along Bayshore Drive NE and First Street SE. There are multiple grandstands available to watch the race from, and you should bring ear protection. Grand Prix officials are bringing extra handwashing stations, this year, too, coronaphobes.
