It’s been three decades since a jury acquitted four Los Angeles police officers of assault and acquitted three of the four of using excessive force during the brutal arrest of Rodney King.

And while it also feels like a lifetime since Tampa Bay experienced “Twilight”—a fitting literary response to the verdict—theatergoers again get a chance to dive in with actor and nationally-recognized spoken word artist Andresia Moseley who brings life to a script by Anna Deavere Smith (“The West Wing,” “Nurse Jackie”).

In its first run at Straz Center, “Twilight” was staged in a socially-distant manner, but this time, you’ll be able to feel the tension inside the intimate 98-seat Shimberg Playhouse.

Tickets to see “Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992” on select nights through Aug. 27 inside Jobsite Theater’s Shimberg Playhouse at David A. Straz Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa start at $40.
