A story of jealousy, passion, rage and a whole lot of money comes to the stage for a long weekend at the St. Pete Opera, which is staging a performance of Franz Lehár’s “The Merry Widow.” Of note is the inclusion of stunning coloratura soprano Kelli Butler, who’s playing the title role of Hanna Glawari who is worth 20 million francs. Online, Butler (AKA “The Opera Geek”) is also hot commodity thanks to the way she plays tabletop role-playing games like “Dungeons & Dragons” on Twitch and then donates monies earned to charitable causes.
