Boating is actually really scary.

Statistically, Florida boat operators are the scariest things on the water, but a close second would probably be this annual haunted attraction on an old WWII war ship in downtown Tampa.

Undead in the Water: The Gathering returns to the American Victory Ship (615 Channelside Dr.) at Sparkman's Wharf starting every Friday and Saturday, from Sept. 23-Oct. 29.

"In the fifth iteration of UNDead in the Water, a mysterious female apparition and her possessed cult threaten passengers across 60,000 square feet of cavernous cargo holds and open-air decks," reads the website. "Flesh of the fallen adorn the bulkheads and passageways as you make your way through the forsaken vessel. Of the crew that survived, some have entered into the ranks of The Gathering, while the remaining are on the run from her cult, their screams and moans echoing throughout the bellows of the ship. "

Tickets can be purchased in advance online, and due to the scary nature of the event, children under 11 are not recommended.
