This may be Tampa Bay’s coolest site for a wedding, and we mean that literally: The mist-making machine constantly bathes the guests in cool clouds of moisture, kind of like the produce department at Kash ‘N Karry. But that’s not the only reason the Aquarium’s nautical-themed playground has become a popular choice for marriage celebrations (including one for aquarium president Thom Stork’s son). It’s also got a pirate ship, where you can shout “I do!”(or “Avast, me hearties!”) from the crow’s nest; water cannons and a wave tunnel for friskier bridal parties; and a tiki hut with full bar. And if outdoors is not a preference, experienced divers are now being allowed to swim in the shark tank.
