Best local and Florida regional live music trend: Reunion Shows

Everybody’s been getting back together, whether it’s for a single one-off show, to play one last gig before the musicians go their separate ways, or a permanent re-bandment as an active unit. This year saw reunion shows from a few Gainesville favorites that made a big local splash, like Vanguard and New Granada Records-repped Dear + Glorious Physician, as well as Orlando’s Truckstop Coffee, and locally-spawned outfits Sleepy Vikings (which came together to deliver a final set at the Plan B fest), Grecian Urns, Rude Squad, The Lion Faced Boy, Paranoia Dance Party, The August Name and even elder scene group Crippled Masters, led by Pretty Voices primary Roger Petersen.
