For more than five years, Niagara Tap has hosted a popular, free monthly show. The comics are names you often see headlining at local clubs, only here they’re slinging jokes from a little stage in the corner and sharing drinks with the locals afterward. Bar gigs are notoriously rowdy and challenging for comedians, but it’s different at the Tap. The audience is there to laugh, and they don’t tolerate hecklers or loud patrons. After this many years they know good comedy, so comedians have to win them over — but if they can make them laugh, they’re family.
