Best link with the greater theater world

It’s rare enough for an internationally acclaimed playwright to visit one of our theaters, and rarer still for him to establish an ongoing relationship with it. But Israel Horovitz has formed a bond with Tampa’s Jobsite Theater, resulting in the production last season of that playwright’s fascinating Lebensraum and the scheduled performance of Gloucester Blue next May. In an interview with CL earlier this year, Horovitz said that Jobsite reminded him of his own theater, Gloucester Stage, and that he’s so taken with Florida, he’s even bought a property in Lake Worth in which he plans to write.
