BEST GROCERY STORE COMMUNICATORS
Cathy Salustri

When we launched our online events calendar (local.cltampa.com) last year, some people refused to use it. Others gradually warmed up to it. And many people eventually started entering most of their events. Nature’s Food Patch, one of the oldest alternative grocers in Pinellas County, jumped in with both feet and now probably knows the system as well as we do. The store is diligent about entering every event it hosts — most of which are free and not in the actual grocery store — with pictures and correct date and time information. Essentially, NFP is an editor’s dream when it comes to communicating with the media. —Cathy Salustri
