I gotta tell ya, these guys submit all their events to our online calendar, and there’s only a handful that don’t appeal immensely to me. I’m admittedly more of a Pinterest addict than most (I actually have a desk made of pallets and have painted old wine bottles to look like sea glass), and The Paper Seahorse is Pinterest in glorious 3-D. They have more classes than you can shake a bottle of Mod-Podge at. —Cathy Salustri
Local business is good business.
Who would’ve known that we’d spend our mid-30s (and beyond) collecting buttons and pins for our lapels and guitar straps? Thanks to the comic book-inspired selection at Tampa’s Bronze Age Buttons and veteran local comics artist/musician Josh Sullivan’s wide variety of enamel pins both cute and snide, getting older (and throwing around our disposable income) never felt — or looked — so cool. —Ray Roa/Scott Harrell
