Chef Pierola has a storied history in the Tampa Restaurant scene. I missed her halcyon days at SideBerns, but her edison: food + drink lab is well up in my Top 50. However, she’s outdone herself with Counter Culture celebrating “interactive foodie culture” in a “bold and beautiful modern” setting. My rave review appeared with her on the CL cover the week the bottom fell out of our world as the pandemic sent the globe into lockdown. She took advantage to do some reno at edison and managed to keep Counter Culture afloat. I still dream of the yellowfin tuna wrapped toro tartare. cc-tampa.com and edison-tampa.com
