"What Makes A Poem" Free Seminar By St. Pete's Poet Laureate

Gloria Muñoz, St. Petersburg’s poet laureate will talk about her career, read from her work and lead the audience in some poetry writing at a free seminar presented by First Presbyterian Church, 701 Beach Drive NE, St. Petersburg. Muñoz is an award-winning Columbian-American writer, translator and advocate for multilingual literacy. Her book of poetry, Danzirly (pronounced “Dawn’s Early”), which explores the American dream from a Latinx perspective and won the Academy of American Poets’ 2019 Ambroggio Prize. This free seminar is part of Beach Drive Forums, a series of conversations on thought-provoking topics, offered by First Presbyterian Church.
