This guide to five local food and drink events is sure to keep you hydrated (and full) now through Sunday.
• CL knows you're already thinking about grabbing a midday beer. So, starting at noon Friday, hit up Cueni Brewing Co. and make a donation to the Holiday Food and Supply Drive, which benefits Suncoast Animal League. The nonprofit has a wish list full of supplies posted on the brewery's Facebook event page, but cash contributions are also welcome. Each donation gets you a $1-off pint. Free, money for beer. 945 Huntley Ave., Dunedin. 727-266-4102.
• On Friday, Winesmith wants to introduce you to five kinds of Bubbly fit for all of those New Year's Eve celebrations. As if you'd even think about closing out 2018 with anything else. The tasting takes place from 6 to 9 p.m., and bottles of the featured dry (yay!) wines are priced between $20 and $30. Tickets can be purchased online or in person. $25. 1620 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. 727-826-0791.
• Lake Chapman Market is about to make some underserved shoppers real happy. Saturday's weekly showcase of local farmers, artists and artisans has promised to transform into the Vegan and Gluten-Free Market, exclusively featuring products that don't contain gluten or dairy. Items up for grabs between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. include prepared foods and specialty desserts. Free, money for goodies. 16347 N. Florida Ave., Lutz.
• Flex that imagination of yours with Hammer & Stain. The Riverview craft studio's next pop-up workshop, Pick Your Project, is planned for 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. You choose from three different shapes of raw wood, and then turn your selections into a personalized sign with everything from stencils to paint. Leaven Brewing hosts this afternoon creativity sesh, so don't hesitate to order a beer. Register online by Friday. $30-$55. 11238 Boyette Road, Riverview. 813-677-7023.
• Luckily for us, the new All Day Punch Brunch is now a thing every Sunday at Hooch and Hive. Dishes like PB&J French toast, Hair of the Dog Fries and cardamon pancakes are featured from noon to 11 p.m., alongside pineapple prosecco punch, lavender lemonade and Hooch Red Drank. (Sounds dangerous, but worth it.) There's music, too. 1001 W. Cass St., Tampa. 813-251-1234.
