Six years ago on Jan. 7, 7venth Sun Brewery celebrated its grand opening. The downtown Dunedin-born brewery has gone through many, many kegs and cans of beer since — and debuted a second location to the Seminole Heights neighborhood in August.
7venth Sun's expansion to Tampa was an exciting moment for the local beer community, but a second taproom is especially awesome now because, well, it means Tampa Bay gets to party at two anniversary bashes.
Festivities on both sides of the bay kick off at noon Sunday. Thirty-two house beers are planned on tap in Seminole Heights (in addition to food trucks and live music), while Dunedin is set to carry 14.
One-off can releases of Sakura Obscura — a pomegranate cherry Berliner-style Weisse — and Electric Wizard — a Citra-hopped IPA packed with strawberries — are also in store for the brewery's 6th birthday. You'll probably see us there.
