While you’re checking out The Dalí Museum’s latest special exhibition, drop off some canned food.

The downtown St. Pete museum, which debuted its buzzed-about, gastronomy-driven Ferran Adrià: The Invention of Food exhibit Sunday, is hosting a food drive from Nov. 1 through 23 to combat and bring awareness to hunger in the community.

Those who contribute to the drive will receive a $2 credit to use for their adult or senior entry fee, and what’s collected will benefit St. Petersburg Free Clinic and RCS Food Bank. The two banks also redistribute donated items to smaller food banks and pantries in the area.

Publix stores in Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco and Pinellas counties have teamed up with The Dalí as well. Shoppers who donate to the Gold level of the Lakeland-born supermarket chain’s Food For Sharing campaign (from Nov. 3 to 23) will also land a $2-off admission voucher.
