No new stars were born in Tampa Bay’s section of the Michelin guide this year, but previously-starred Tampa restaurants maintained their status and Pinellas got some nods.

In 2023 and 2024, five Tampa restaurants earned a Michelin star: contemporary Italian eatery Rocca, small-scale omakase spots Kōsen and Koya, Scandinavian tasting concept Ebbe and the Tampa Edition’s high-end restaurant Lilac. All those concepts retained their stars.

For the first time since the guide’s 2022 arrival in Florida, restaurants in Pinellas County are eligible to win awards. Pinellas didn’t snag any stars or Bib Gourmands this time, but the county saw St. Pete hotspots IL Ritorno, Sushi Sho Rexley and pan-Asian steakhouse Fortu added to Michelin’s “designated” list at tonight’s ceremony. Safety Harbor’s Best of the Bay-winning Tides Market also picked up a “recommended” designation in the guide.

Have a look at every Tampa Bay restaurant that made the 2025 Michelin Guide.

Ebbe

1202 N Franklin St., Tampa
Michelin ranking: 1 star
“Sleek and contemporary with a space dominated by a U-shaped marble bar, it’s hyper-focused with just one tasting menu. Scandinavian elements make their way onto the dishes here, hinting at the chef’s Swedish background, and the cooking is both clever and confident without superfluous fuss.”

Kōsen

307 W Palm Ave., Tampa
Michelin ranking: 1 star
“There’s plenty of showmanship and style, but the sushi leans traditional without a lot of fuss, as in the kinmedai, seared, then hit with a squeeze of lime..”

Koya 807 W Platt St., Tampa. Splurge at Tampa’s eight-seat, pioneering (and still the only?) omakase, led by chefs Eric and Adriana Fralick who source fish from the auction system at Toyosu Market in Japan and stock high-end sake, premium wines, and Japanese craft beers. Look for the more casual sister concept Noble Rice to open in Sparkman Wharf and its accompanying Noble Market (next door to Koya, currently online only) to re-open soon. Lilac

500 Channelside Dr., Tampa
Michelin ranking: 1 star
“An open kitchen with glossy emerald-green tile overlooks the small dining room and delivers a contemporary prix-fixe with broad Mediterranean influences.”

Rocca

323 W Palm Ave., Tampa
Michelin ranking: 1 star
“Guests gush over mozzarella hand pulled to order in a tableside cart, but the flavor outshines the show. Perhaps most exciting of all are the displays of originality, as in a vibrant hiramasa carpaccio with green apple, capers and horseradish; and dessert is a delightful bookend to an impressive meal.”

Gorkhali Kitchen 10044 Cross Creek Blvd, Tampa, 813-388-6404 Michelin ranking: Bib Gourmand Michelin praised the breadth of the menu at New Tampa strip mall spot, Gorkhali Kitchen and noted its focus on Nepalese cuisine with a touch of Indian influence. “Of course, there must be momo, those iconic Nepalese dumplings that are seared, pan-fried or even in jhol (soup). Chicken is a popular protein that appears often on the menu, but don’t shy away from the goat specialties. They’re falling-off-the-bone tender and savory,” inspectors wrote. Photo by Melissa Santell

Psomi

701 N Howard Ave., Tampa
Michelin ranking: Bib Gourmand
“The menu is laced with Greek items ranging from flavorful and tender octopus ceviche to house-made dolmades that display an added level of care.”

Streetlight Taco 4004 Henderson Blvd., Tampa Streetlight Taco opened in January and has already earned a distinguished Bib Gourmand distinction from Michelin. The new concept offers a contemporary menu of Mexican favorites inspired by owner and Executive Chef Michael Brannock’s extensive travels throughout Mexico and dedication to its multifaceted cuisine. In addition to a variety of tacos on house-made tortillas, Streetlight also offers Pueblan-style cemitas sandwiches, sides like chips and salsa, salads and larger entrees such as wood-roasted half chickens or carnitas platters after 5 p.m. Photo by Logan Profitt Credit: Logan Profitt

Rooster & the Till

6500 N. Florida Ave., Tampa, Tampa
Michelin ranking: Bib Gourmand
”Between the lively tunes and buzzy staff, the aura is anything but stuffy. The plates follow suit—freewheeling, frequently changing and shareable with elements from SE Asia, Latin America and the Levant.”

Bistro BT

2507 S. MacDill Ave., Tampa
Michelin ranking: Recommended
”Many of the dishes draw upon the chef’s Vietnamese heritage, seen in the telltale use of bright, aromatic flavors, but items like a sophisticated vichyssoise and Basque-inspired pink prawns are a testament to her classic French training and time spent abroad.”

Big Ray’s Fish Camp 6116 Interbay Blvd, Tampa, 812-605-3615 Chef Raymond “Nick” Cruz grew up learning to fish from Grandpa Cruz a few blocks away at Ballast Point Pier, not knowing that years later he would open up nearby Big Ray’s Fishing Camp. Besides his famous grouper sandwiches, his menu also features shrimp corn dogs, the famous lobster corn dogs, conch fritters, and fried oreos or key lime pie. And if you don’t do South of Gandy, then check out the downtown Tampa location. Photo via Big Ray’s Fish Camp/Facebook
Élevage SoHo Kitchen & Bar 1207 S Howard Ave., Tampa, 813-999-8726 Michelin ranking: Recommended “Don’t be fooled by the lofty name or upscale location (tucked inside the Epicurean Hotel, just past the lobby). The ambience here is relaxed and the cooking is down-to-earth, though happily not mundane. Breakfast and lunch are served, but dinner is where the lion’s share of excitement lies, with a menu whose flavors confidently span the globe. Smoked barbecue chicken wings find themselves in good company with a wild mushroom chawanmushi; while za’atar and Madras curry might accent grass-fed bison or Florida grouper. Beyond the diversity of its culinary influences, the food shows a sense of balance, as in a hearty dish of chicken schnitzel matched with buttery spaetzle and finished with a mustard jus that provides that perfect bit of lightness and zest.” Photo via Élevage SoHo Kitchen & Bar/Facebook

Flaming Mountain 13520 University Plaza St., Tampa, 813-609-8888 Michelin ranking: Recommended “Flaming Mountain’s strip mall environs may be less than exciting but they save their sizzle for the food. The owners, husband-and-wife Hongfeng Li and Ling Wu, are originally from Shenyang in China’s northeast, and the menu proudly displays their regional heritage alongside classic Sichuan cuisine and grilled skewers. Chef Wei Zhang sources quality ingredients for dishes that deliver bold flavor across the board. Portions are hearty, so arrive armed with an appetite for meals like Chungking spicy chicken, with a plate piled high with classic dry fried chicken studded with chilies and peppercorns. Cucumber salad tossed in a vinegar sauce balances the heady spice. Cumin-scented lamb done in a stir fry style is another standout.” Photo via Élevage SoHo Kitchen & Bar/Facebook
Haven 2208 W Morrison Ave., Tampa Michelin ranking: Recommended “Front and center is a selection of artisanal cheeses and charcuterie, which deserves serious consideration. Heartier dishes, like steaks, pass muster; although much of the fun lies in smaller bites. To wit, there’s a section devoted to adroitly prepared offal, whether it be French-inflected rabbit kidneys with Cognac; or fried veal sweetbreads with a sweet and sour glaze.” Photo via HavenTampa/Facebook Credit: HavenTampa/Facebook

IL Ritorno

449 Central Ave. N, No. 101, St. Petersburg
Michelin ranking: Recommended
“There is a watchful eye over the experience at this intimate eight-seat counter, where a multicourse contemporary tasting menu shares a singular interpretation of Japanese cuisine. The dishes are often unexpected yet always thoughtful.”

Mise en Place

“The menu features a freewheeling selection of international flavors—from squash blossoms filled with creamy ricotta and spicy ‘nduja, to mole-crusted scallops with a masa and squash purée.”

Noble Rice

615 Channelside Dr., Suite 112, Tampa
Michelin ranking: Recommended
“There is an omakase on offer at a separate counter, but the real draw here is their à la carte sushi-focused menu with some izakaya and small plate options (think shrimp toast and karaage; skewers and ramen).”

Olivia

3601 W Swann Ave., Tampa
Although the cuisine draws heavily on classic flavors, don’t expect by-the-books renditions—even the simplest dishes flaunt a bit of personality. Take, for example, mini rigatoni sauced with ragù Bolognese and a dollop of herbed ricotta; it’s a departure from tradition that is unlikely to draw any objections.”

The Pearl

823 Water St., Tampa, Tampa
Michelin ranking: Recommended
“The large American menu with shareable options aplenty sports a seafood focus, but don’t sleep on dessert, as the in-house pastry chef oversees the pie-only menu.”

18. Ponte Modern American

1010 Gramercy Ln., Tampa
“Dinner was incredible! The ambiance is upscale and inviting, with a modern touch that makes it feel special yet comfortable. I started with the burrata appetizer, which was fresh and full of flavor. For the main course, I had the short rib and ribeye, and it was tender, perfectly cooked, and paired with delicious sides. The drinks were just as impressive–I tried the signature cocktail, and it was perfectly balanced and refreshing. The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made great recommendations, ensuring an amazing dining experience. This spot is perfect for date nights or celebrating special occasions. I’ll definitely be back!” – Ashley C. Credit: Photo via Ponte Modern American

7. Predalina

1001 E Cumberland Ave., Tampa
“The food and ambiance are excellent at Predalina. We had one of the best servers we’ve had in a long time. Instead of a traditional Friendsgiving, we all went out to eat before Thanksgiving. We tried a variety of things off the menu and everything was fabulous. I especially enjoyed the scallops and octopus. The fried cheese app was 10/10.” – Kristen B. Credit: Photo via Predalina
Restaurant BT 2507 S MacDill Ave., Tampa, 813-258-1916 Michelin ranking: Recommended “Both intimate and serene, this romantic retreat is restaurateur and Chef BT Nguyen’s flagship. Its motto “eat local, think global” accurately captures both her genre-defying, eclectic cuisine as well as her dedication to high quality, local ingredients. Although the presentation may lean a bit fussy and old-fashioned (think tomato roses and other such twee garnishes), there’s plenty of substance behind the fluff. This is cooking that’s assiduously seasoned and bursting with flavor. Many of the dishes draw upon the chef’s Vietnamese heritage, seen in the telltale use of bright, aromatic flavors, but items like a sophisticated vichyssoise and Basque-inspired pink prawns are a testament to her classic French training and time spent abroad.” Photo via
Steelbach 1902 N Ola Ave, Tampa, 813- 693-5478 Michelin ranking: Recommended “Set in a space that once housed the Tampa Electrical Company’s main offices, the stripped-down, industrial-chic aesthetic mirrors an air of studied nonchalance. Essentially a steakhouse with a Southern drawl, the menu here focuses on meats cooked over a blazing grill fueled by mesquite and oak. Composed plates, like a brick chicken served with hominy, tasso ham and green tomato chowchow, have their merit, but most diners direct their attention to an assortment of exceptional steaks. The meat’s provenance is what sets the offerings apart: a partnership with a local rancher provides grass-fed, grain-finished cattle specifically for the restaurant’s use, minimizing waste and maximizing flavor—and few would dispute the caliber of the end product.” Photo via Google Maps

Supernatural Food & Wine

305 E Polk St., Tampa
Michelin ranking: Recommended
“It’s a bright, mood-elevating kind of place where diners come in the morning for the olive and feta sandwich, served on a toasted focaccia bun with a black olive tapenade, fluffy egg, feta, thinly sliced red onion, and roasted peppers.”

Timpano

1610 W Swann Ave., Tampa
Michelin ranking: Reccomended
“After a chic redesign, this longtime Hyde Park Village staple stands out even in its stylish surrounds. The verdant space calls to mind the tropics and a clubby playlist adds an air of youthfulness, but this is solid cooking rooted in classic Italian American sensibilities.”

Yummy House

“Diners can find contentment with familiar American-Chinese staples, like orange chicken and salt-and-pepper fried calamari (or tofu). However, dishes like clay pot-braised fish have their own unique, earthy appeal.”
