Complimentary tickets to Almost There are gone. But that doesn’t make the newest craft beer festival from Tampa Bay Beer Week any less rad.

Planned for next week in St. Petersburg, Almost There is set to take place not long after another TBBW fest, Halfway There, went down in August. The inaugural celebration is different than Halfway There, however, because it’s 1) free, and 2) designed to exclusively showcase the local beer scene’s community of homebrewers and non-distributed breweries.

Almost There attendees sample pours from several homebrew clubs and breweries, plus sit in on panel discussions featuring homebrewers and professional brewers.

They’re also invited to vote for the “Best in Show” homebrew. Awesomely, the winner receives a New Belgium Brewing bicycle.

This is all to say that CL is super bummed we didn’t learn of Almost There in time to snag a ticket. Good thing TBBW, which begins the first Saturday in March, is right around the corner.
