Beer movie night at The Independent Tampa

The McKenzies in Strange Brew and more!

This brings us to The Independent Bar and Cafe on Monday, October 3rd, from 8-11 p.m. where they will be screening those two priests of hops Bob and Doug McKenzie in the film Strange Brew. Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis of SCTV fame star as Bob and Doug, brothers who get a job at well, a brewery. Much fun is had in the alcoholic's wet dream job.

But wait, there's more!

A second feature that features (if you haven't guessed it by now you are either hungover, or dumb) beer. Beerfest is the '06 comedy (see we have a theme) about two brothers who travel to Germany for the original Oktoberfest experience, and find even more hijinx along the way. Another roaring good time in the name of inebriation.

So go have some suds, and some laughs. Just remember to pick up some BC Powder before you go, so you have it the next morning (you'll probably need it.)

Beer (Pale Ale)

Movies and brew: two of our favorite things, right? But we cannot forget our other favorite thing: no cover charge. Who wants to pay when you know you're going to be paying for beer, eh? Have I mentioned beer yet? Good. Now that I have your attention, we must get right to it. It's October, and with it comes Oktoberfest, and that means you'll be drinking anyway; you might as well share it watching movies about beer.
