There are more than 25 eateries in the Hernando and Pasco area listed on Bite Squad's app or website.

Bite Squad coming to west Pasco and Hernando counties is pretty cool, but CL didn't realize it was this cool. The on-demand delivery service — now serving coach potatoes in New Port Richey, Port Richey, Hudson, Hudson Beach, Spring Hill, Brooksville, Hernando Beach and Weeki Wachee — has promised to provide free delivery for a year to those who place an order during its grand opening weekend, running 10:30 a.m. Friday to 10 p.m. Sunday.

Anyone eligible for the promotion snags a complimentary membership to the subscription-based Bite Squad feature, Unlimited, for 365 days. To cover the cost of delivery, Unlimited customers pay a low monthly fee — no matter how many times they request a salad from Little Greek Fresh Grill.

Other eateries in the Hernando and Pasco area listed on Bite Squad's app or website (there are more than of 'em) include Harold Seltzer's Steakhouse, Carolina's Cuban Cafe, Haiku, Pizza Villa & Restaurant, Circle S BBQ, Enchiladas Mexican Restaurant, Thai Spice and The Cove, plus well-known chains like Bob Evans and Dickey's Barbecue Pit.

Delivery, which normally starts at $2.99, is available within a seven-mile radius of each restaurant.

"We're really excited to bring the Bite Squad experience to these communities and to delight new customers with a year of free delivery," according to Craig Key, chief marketing officer. "We invite folks to try out our service during our opening weekend and, in return, they'll get free delivery for a whole year!"
