You may recall last month when CL reported Thyme + Bloom, a Black-owned market and juice bar, was close to officially opening. Well, owner Joy “Chef Joy” Haskins collected $10K in GoFundMe donations to open the concept, and is ready to say hello to the neighborhood.

Thyme + Bloom vendors, including local Perfect Harmony CBD & More brand, are mostly Black, minority, woman, queer and locally owned.

The store carries a variety of seasonal herbs and produce plus household items. Customers can also find Haskins’ EatandSuch products on the shelves too. Curbside pickup and shipping begins next week. Small businesses interested in hosting pop-ups can email [email protected] to reserve a spot. The pop-up space is available by donation (no minimum) and supports the Thyme + Bloom Community, Inc. nonprofit.

“We know the importance in magnifying the well deserved and under supported in our communities. It's on us as an organization and as a society,” the website says.

Thyme + Bloom is located at 4202 W Waters Ave. Suite 5. Hours of operation are Tues.-Sat.y 8 a.m.- 3 p.m. and 8 a.m.-noon every first and third Sunday.
