Bob's Berries' 5th annual Spring Opening blueberry festival goes down on Saturday, April 18 in Riverview, and you better get there early. The free, family and pet-friendly goes until 3 p.m., but the U-pick for Bob’s limited blueberry crop starts at 9 a.m.

But don’t fret if you miss out on the pickin’ because Bob’s is selling blueberry plants so you can start your own patch at home.

There’ll also be an artisan market with 30 vendors (including the Chilly Flamingo shaved ice), kids gardening and crafts workshops, face painting, rabbit photo opps, a beekeeper class, plus sales on poultry, quail and fruit trees (bring a trailer to haul it all in, kid.)

Bob’s Berries is at 11501 Winn Rd. in Riverview., and free parking is available along the open lot at Potts Road and Winn Road; just respect the neighbors by taking designated spots only.

Dogs are allowed, but keep in mind there will be livestock, so your good boys must be on their best behavior (read: if your dog is a prick, leave him at home.)
