It's time that Tampa residents formed their own healthy relationship with Bodega's signature Cuban sandwich. Luckily, the St. Petersburg favorite — known for cooking up rustic, delicious Latin market food in the EDGE District — has started teasing a second location in Seminole Heights.

Well, hello.

Bodega is keeping the address of the restaurant — "coming soon" — on the DL. However, a rendering posted to the Seminole Heights location's Facebook page on Tuesday makes the new space look bigger than the St. Pete flagship, which is built upon a small walk-up order window.

Brooklyn transplants George and Debbie Sayegh launched Bodega five years ago. Inspired by the islands of Latin American with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and speedy service, their beloved dining spot features swoon-worthy, made-to-order items for both meat eaters and veg heads.

Mains served with rice and black beans, chopped romaine salad, guava and cheese pastelitos, freshly squeezed juices, and sandwiches layered with care are among the menu options. But the restaurant has garnered quite the reputation for its Best of the Bay-winning Cuban, which doesn't come with salami and mustard — or need them, really.

Bodega quickly became a must-visit in the EDGE District, and something tells CL this expansion to Seminole Heights will be no different. Just don't tease us too much longer, OK?
