Brass Tap Brandon closes for good after this weekend

Time to help drink all of the beer.

The Brass Tap is set to permanently shutter its location at Westfield Brandon after this weekend.

Last month, a post made to the popular craft beer bar chain's Facebook page announced the closure to the public (see above). The Brass Tap Brandon — opened in October 2010 at 775 Brandon Town Center Drive — will serve up pints one last time from noon to 11:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16.

"Our lease is up, our time has come. To say the last eight years have been a joyous time would be the understatement of a lifetime!" the post says. "Brandon - you welcomed us with open arms when craft beer was just getting started, and have supported us throughout the years since. We will cherish the memories and value the friendships that we’ve made, and of course all the beers that we’ve shared with you along the way."

Patrons can help drink all of the beer and wine during the indoor-outdoor hangout's final hurrah.

"We would love to see every fantastic face that has made these 8 years the very best!" reads the Facebook event description.

The Brass Tap, known for its wide selection of draft and bottled beers from around the globe, operates additional outposts locally in Wesley Chapel, Dade City, Carrollwood, Ybor City and St. Petersburg.
