As the shelves in Tampa Bay grocery stores are starting to get emptier and emptier, and their operating hours start to shorten—the market at Brick Street Farms offers a locally-sourced alternative with a fully-stocked produce section (no, they don't sell toilet paper.)
Currently operating out of its location at 2001 2nd Ave. S. in St. Petersburg, Brick Street Farms encourages online ordering as well, coinciding with the social distancing methods we should all be implementing in our daily lives.
Yesterday, St. Pete mayor Rick Kriseman declared a local emergency due to COVID-19, instilling a 9 p.m. curfew for all bars and restaurants, while discouraging face-to-face-contact with others. Even though Bricks Street Farm boasts of a highly-sanitized market—ordering online might be your best bet.
Brick Street Farms also sells jams, balsamic vinegars, spice rubs, hummus, kombucha, free range eggs and more alongside its fresh produce. If you order anything online, a Brick Street Farms team member will bring your groceries to your car for you.
Brick Street Farms is now open Wed 12 p.m.- 5 p.m., Thu 12 p.m. – 7p.m., Fri 12 p.m.- 5 p.m., and Sat 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
