If you’re spending a day in downtown Tampa or staying at the new JW Marriott Tampa Water Street, then walk across the street and grab a couple scoops of ice cream at the new Bright Ice location that opened over the weekend. The shop—located at 505 Water St. at the older Marriott—joins other ice cream shops in the downtown area like Sparkman Wharf’s Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, adults-only shop Aubi & Ramsa, and Milkin’ it cafe.
With ice cream flavors like Deepest Darkest Chocolate Secret, orangesicle with caramel ribbons, and roasted strawberries with brown sugar and balsamic, everyone is in for a real treat.
“We are very excited about this location and to be a part of the Water Street development,” said owner Steve Garrahan in a Facebook message.
Bright Ice is open daily 11 a.m.-10 p.m. with later hours for special events. The ice cream shop sits on JW Marriott’s street level facing the Tampa Convention Center and trolley station. Creative Loafing Tampa wrote Bright Ice’s Pinellas Park shop back in February.
