The beloved Brooklyn staple is known for its distinctive flavors—if you need more examples, think lemon shortbread thyme or coffee whiskey smoked almond—and it’s opening a 1,500-square-foot concept at 718 S Village Circle in Hyde Park Village this fall.
This is the concept’s seventh location, but first in the southern U.S. Its sister concepts are spread across the globe with another in Manhattan, one in Boston and in South Korea. You can expect pop-ups ahead of the opening, but exact details are still unannounced. What we do know is that James Beard Award-nominated chef Sam Mason, partner of Oddfellows owners Mohan and Holiday Kumar is whipping up special flavors specific to Tampa for the opening.
In addition to its wacky flavors, the gourmet ice cream shop also serves vegan-friendly and alcohol-infused options, as well as beer and wine.
Tampa has become quite the space for gourmet ice cream shops over the last year, with spaces like Oh Yeah Creamery, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams and Bright Ice joining the scene alongside local veterans Revolution Ice Cream Co., Sweet Mama’s and even Kilwins in St. Pete.
Once Oddfellows opens, you’ll be able to experience all the flavors from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week.
