Buy healthy, local fare and wares at the forthcoming Seminole Heights Sunday Morning Market

The Sunday Morning Market is presented by the Business Guild of Seminole Heights, organized by Greg Barnhill, community activist and resident, and Tiffany A. Ferrecchia, market manager for the Tampa Downtown Market on Fridays.

[image-1]Come celebrate the grand opening of The Sunday Morning Market on Sunday, February 14th, which will be located on the front lawn of the historic Hillsborough High School (5000 N. Central Ave.). The market will run once a month on the following dates until May: March 14th, April 11th, and May 9th.

The historic neighborhood of Seminole Heights in Tampa is proud to present their answer to the fresh markets now offered by a number of areas in Tampa Bay. Their Sunday Morning Market will debut on Valentine's Day (Feb. 14th, in case you forgot) this year, providing only healthy, local foods and wares, as well as talented local artists.

Along with exhibiting the aforementioned finds, the market will also feature performances by local bands and live cooking demonstrations by chefs from the area. Free parking and public restrooms are also added perks to this event.

Their mission statement says:

"The Seminole Heights Sunday Morning Market is to serve as a community-gathering place where local farmers, producers, and artisans can offer fresh agricultural and related products to generate a sense of local pride and further the economic development of the neighborhood of Seminole Heights. With a strong focus on sustainability, the Seminole Heights Sunday Morning Market intends to provide a vehicle to educate the community on the importance of good health as we create more business opportunities and residential benefits."
