California-based pizza chain Mountain Mike’s Pizza has signed a 10-unit agreement to bring the concept to Tampa, Orlando, and Sarasota, with franchisees Sean Morrison, CEO of BizBox Group and Ned Algeo, Founder of Multipli Capital, according to a press release.
“We expect Mountain Mike’s to reach new heights in Florida’s booming, entrepreneurial economy, and we are confident that new guests throughout the state will appreciate and enjoy our high-quality menu offerings, unmatched dine-in experience and community involvement,” said Jim Metevier, CEO of Mountain Mike’s Pizza in a statement.
Known for its signature 20-inch pies, the chain also serves chicken wings, garlic knots, salads, desserts, and a selection of beer and wine.
Mountain Mike’s offers takeout and delivery options, but centers around a family-style dine-in experience, with most locations offering kids’ activity areas with arcade games, party rooms and big screen TVs.
Founded in Palo Alto, California in 1978, the chain currently has 286 locations across 10 States. No exact opening dates or locations were announced, but the company says the first Florida restaurant is expected to open next year.
