For spring, St. Petersburg-based HSN is gearing up to premiere its first culinary series April 2. The series will feature Donatella Arpaia of the Food Network's Iron Chef, as well as the live content retailer's other celebrity chef partners.
Titled The Saturday Morning Market with Donatella, this new "farmers' market" will air from 8 to 10 a.m. the first Saturday of every month.
Chef and restaurateur Geoffrey Zakarian will help kick off the series with his latest cookbook, My Perfect Pantry, and throughout The Saturday Morning Market's run, Arpaia will highlight how to use in-season ingredients in recipes at home.
Allyson Holt, vice president of culinary and food for HSN, says the series "will inspire our customers to challenge their comfort zones while educating them on the latest in culinary trends."
