Chef Lauren Macellaro announces last service at St. Pete's Reading Room

Chef Lauren Macellaro took to social media to announce that June 8 will be her last service for The Reading Room in St. Pete.

The James Beard semifinalist has been at the forefront of revolutionizing the food scene in Tampa Bay.

"This has been an incredible journey, in which I believe we did exactly what we set out to do. I have met some amazing people, and I feel lucky to have been able to cook for y'all or with y'all!" Macellaro said in her Instagram post.

The chef didn't let on to any future culinary plans after leaving The Reading Room next month, but we'll be on the lookout for her footprint in the restaurant's exquisite attention to detail when it comes to flavor and plating.
