Zack Gross immediately crossed much of his restaurants culinary repertoire off the list of possible submissions, even though he more than most chefs serves up food that would be at home in an adventurous home cooks kitchen. He picked Z Grilles spicy shrimp and jicama slaw, a relatively straightforward dish flavored with sambal oelek chili paste from Southeast Asia. Sounds exotic, but you can find it in any Asian grocery store and many supermarkets. Just dont tell your guests that.
