Tuesday morning, Chicken Salad Chick, a fast-casual chicken salad restaurant chain based in Alabama, announced the opening date of its 40th location: Sept. 1.

Inside Tampa's University Collection plaza at 2790 E. Fowler Ave., the brand's newest eatery is one of six that owners Brad and Tammy Cochran and Tampa Bay Chicken Salad Chick, LLC's Julie and Pete North have planned for the area.

Indoor and outdoor seating and the signature Southern-influenced menu will be offered at the 3,555-square-foot restaurant.
