Chick-fil-A food scientists are experimenting with new spicy chicken formulas in the Tampa Bay area.

On Tuesday, April 26 local stores started testing a new Spicy Chick-n-Strips, with plans for a Spicy Chick-n-Strips Biscuit later down the road, says the company in a statement.

The new additions, which are made with a “spicy blend of peppers” means that older, less bold and savory items needed to be removed, including the Original Chick-n-Strips, Grilled Cool Wrap, and the side salad.

Tampa Bay isn't the first market to get the Spicy Chick-n-Strip concept food, the items were first introduced in 2017 at select locations in Arizona and Charlotte, and were just recently expanded to areas like Tampa, Chicago and Central Texas.
