Third reason – live music (and I do not mean bagpipes.) I love any music to accompany a good time, but nothing beats live music, even when it is just a guy and his acoustic guitar jamming in the corner. That is all I need.
The last, and perhaps most important reason I like Peggy O’Neill’s, is my favorite bartender – Amy – works there. And why is Amy currently my favorite master pourer of drinks? Because she says the five magic words – “the first shot’s on me.” Not only does she know how to make my boyfriend and I happy as soon as we sit down (and also ignite the shot fire that lives inside), but she is ridiculously attentive, keeps the bar spotless and she remembers us and what we like to drink, plain and simple.
Peggy O'Neill's is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Food is usually served until about 1 a.m.
