In case you missed it: North Carolina craft beer fans now have access to cans of Jai Alai IPA and other Cigar City Brewing signatures.
The Tampa brewery announced that the southeastern state was added to its distribution network last week, and the expansion makes North Carolina the second state to receive Cigar City deliveries in more than four years.
Alongside Jai Alai, the brewery's Maduro Brown Ale, Florida Cracker Belgian-style White Ale, Invasion Pale Ale and Tampa-style Lager are available in 12-ounce cans throughout the new market; draft beer is expected to follow shortly. Launch events — Cigar City's official celebration at Oskar Blues' Tasty Weasel Taproom among them — were hosted in Raleigh and Brevard from March 21 to 25, with more planned for this week in Asheville and Charlotte.
With the addition of North Carolina, eight states, including Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York and Tennessee (plus the country of Denmark), carry Cigar City brews.
