St. Pete's Beach Drive has a new place for locals to kick back and enjoy a freshly lit stogy. Cigar Paradise Royal Lounge made its debut in late November at 400 Beach Dr. NE Suite 142, alongside Annex and 400 Beach Seafood & Tap House, hosting a cigar gallery and pouring up craft cocktails.
Cigar Paradise joins Cigar Bar as downtown St. Pete's resident stogy sellers. The two offer very different experiences for guests. Cigar Bar gives cigar enthusiasts an escape from the madness of Central Avenue into a dimly lit space with a full bar; while Cigar Paradise offers ample lighting in an upscale environment with leather lounge seats and couches alongside bar seating.
According to the lounge's social media, the concept is rooted in Cuban tradition, boasting nearly 200 years of experience in using ancestral techniques to specialize in the art and manufacturing of handmade cigars. The space hosts a custom HEPA filtration and ventilation system allowing customers to enjoy cigars inside the lounge without the worry of any lasting odors.
You can either slide by and grab a couple of cigars to enjoy on your own at home, or get one cut, lit and hang around for a while with a cocktail that pairs nicely with your selected hand-rolled cigar.
While you're able to enjoy a drink and a smoke, be sure to wear your mask when you're not seated and moving about the concept.
