Two membership-driven businesses have recently teamed up on grocery delivery in the Tampa metro area. As of March 21, online grocery marketplace Shipt expanded its service to include warehouse club Costco. Residents in the Tampa area, the first market to receive Costco delivery, have another week to try Shipt for free, and score $15 off their first order to celebrate.

Shipt, whose community of shoppers you've likely seen at your neighborhood Publix, announced its new partnership with ABC Fine Wine & Spirits last year, and the addition of Costco is one of its many 2017 growth initiatives. The member-based, on-demand service plans to enter 50 markets and more than 30 million households by the end of the year; currently, it's offered to more than 17 million households in 35 markets around the country.
To become a Shipt member, locals pay an annual fee of $99, which includes unlimited free deliveries. Members use the service's mobile app, or website, to peruse its selection of goods, note any preferences and pay for their orders. Deliveries are then made within a one-hour window, and, luckily, members don't need a separate Costco membership to gain access to the national retailer's stockpile.
