Some men chase their dreams. Craig Becker followed a girl. That is, after the then-21-year-old biochemist saw his girlfriend (now wife), Courtney, win a plum internship at a California winery. Becker decided then to give viticulture a try.
A perfect score on Robert Mondavi Wines test landed him at the famed winemaker, where Becker was instantly hooked on wine – both drinking it and the science of making it. After earning a degree in enology and working with some of the wine world’s most celebrated talent, Becker helped found Napa Valley’s Somerston Wine Company.
