Iron Somm is planned for next week.

Three members of the Cru Cellars crew are gearing up to throw down during Iron Somm.

Essentially, the ticketed competition — planned for Armature Works space Show & Tell from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 — is a fresh take on the local wine bar's walk-around tasting. You ready?

Cru owner and original sommelier Jen Bingham, wine director and head somm Zach Groseclose, and assistant wine director and somm Kathleen Cimino will feature one sparkling, one white, one rosé and one red each for the crowd to sample throughout the evening in Tampa Heights.

Guests are then tasked with voting for the contender who picked the best lineup of wines.

Tickets to Iron Somm, which are available for purchase online, cost $35 per person.
