Recently, Creative Loafing Tampa Bay mentioned the Datz Restaurant Group’s new steakhouse coming soon to Riverview but it looks like the group quietly opened a new pizza concept named Bougie Pizza in South Tampa.
Bougie Pizza—operating as a “ghost kitchen” out of Datz Dough located at 2602 S. MacDill Ave.—serves what it calls “from scratch grilled goodness.” The menu is made with a few pizza options like the classic pepperoni, smoked chicken, and its signature steak n’ chips. Healthier choices like roasted cauliflower or tomato basil are also available (pick up prices on pizza range from $10-$14).
“Pizza has been made in the back kitchens of Dough for a long time, often just for the employees. We thought opening Bougie Pizza as a ghost kitchen would be the perfect opportunity to share the recipe and pizza creations with the South Tampa area,” General Manager Tina Contes told CL.
Customers are welcome to pick up, dine-in, and delivery via UberEats. Bougie is also available on Datz’ proprietary mobile app launched Sept. 16 Bougie Pizza is open seven days a week, Mon.-Thurs. 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Fri.Sat. 11 a.m.-11 p.m., and Sun. 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
