Dave’s Hot Chicken
Multiple LocationsDave’s Hot Chicken opened its first Tampa area location in June of 2023. Since then the popular West Coast poultry chain has debuted a second outpost in South Tampa. For the unfamiliar, the main event at Dave’s are the hot chicken tenders—which range from “no spice” to the fiery red “reaper” level. The menu also includes fries, kale slaw, mac and cheese, and a variety of milkshakes. Outside of Tampa, there are just three other Dave’s Hot Chicken locations in Florida, with spots in Orlando, Lake Mary and Altamonte Springs.

Yes, you read that correctly. Certainly, there’s a fair bit to unpack here.
The fried-chicken chain is offering one gratis slider each to customers, to mark rapper/musician Drake’s 37th birthday for the second year running.
Why, you ask? Well, Drake is the “most famous investor” in Dave’s (so says CEO Dave Phillips), and apparently he’s marking the occasion by offering some fried food on him.
You have to have the Dave’s Hot Chicken app to qualify, be forewarned.
The area’s only Dave’s Hot Chicken location can be found at 2540 E. Fowler Ave., in Tampa.
