Davis Islands’ ‘Bomba in the Bayou!’ celebrates Puerto Rico with bands and food this weekend

Davis Island’s Bayou Bodega celebrates Puerto Rico with Bomba in the Bayou on Saturday night, providing a feast for the eyes, ears, and stomach.

Local six-piece bomba ensemble Barriplé provides traditional music, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., mixing dancing, percussion, and vocals originating from the island’s African slave ancestors. Food specials include lechón asado, camarón criollo, and crema catalana for dessert.

Saturday, Nov. 6, 6:30 p.m. Bayou Bodega, 241 E Davis Blvd., Tampa. Reservations are requested, and can be made by calling 813-513-5478. @bayoubodegabar on Facebook
