Broth pops aren't unknown territory for Largo's Paleo On The Go. The meal delivery service, which began shipping premade paleo dishes to busy people's doorsteps six years ago, has offered the cool treats since at least 2016, when the pops became a viral summer trend. But POTG and founder David Rohde are gearing up to roll out a new broth pop flavor — just in time for summer.
Starting Sunday, the meal delivery service's latest convenient creation, strawberry banana broth pops, will be available for purchase on the POTG website.
If you're thinking meaty bone broth and fruity popsicles don't sound like they go together, this food editor is totally with you. The mashup is meant to embrace the benefits of bone broth — used to treat leaky gut syndrome, boost the immune system and increase collagen production, among other things — in a more approachable way. But it's still a straight-up weird combination, right?
POTG thinks so. Well, sort of. They're "strangely delicious," apparently. At least that's how the meal delivery service described them in a broth pop recipe post on its blog.
