All you have to do to get a bourbon-based cocktail like the Old Fashioned that's pictured above? Snag a ticket to Bizou Brasserie's upcoming Five-Course Bourbon Dinner.
Bay area bars, restaurants and breweries host plenty of pairing dinners, but this is bourbon we're talking about. How're you gonna say no?
The stylish downtown Tampa hotel restaurant, located inside the Le Méridien, plans to pair specialty creations from the bar like black cherry shrub with Woodford Rye and grilled lemon sours with Old Forester 1870 alongside courses like soup du jour (sweet potato bisque with molasses crouton) and From the Fields (smoked peach, basil goat cheese, roasted salted pecans, heirloom tomatoes and red romaine tossed in pomegranate reduction).
A few of the five dishes — such as The Feature, or main course, of pork osso buco and forest blend mushroom risotto with bourbon demi reduction, which comes with Umami Manhattan (Woodford Reserve, vermouth and Pedro Ximénez Sherry) — even feature bourbon on the plate.
Tickets to the limited-seating dinner (there's room for 35 guests) can be reserved by emailing Andrew Shelton ([email protected]) and Crystal Falanga ([email protected]). But just a heads up: A credit card is needed to complete the RSVP.
