Mix it up this weekend. Two local margarita-driven happenings are making their way to downtown Tampa Saturday.
The Tampa Bay Margarita Festival, now in its fourth year, will showcase a selection of more than 53 margaritas, the Grand Tequila Tasting, live music featuring rock band Blues Traveler, and a fireworks display at the end of the night.
But all that doesn't start at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park until noon.
Those who want to pregame with a workout beforehand should head to the inaugural Margarita Run. The 2.5-mile route around the water, also kicking off at Curtis Hixon, requires participants to register online in advance; they'll score one general admission ticket to the fest, plus a complimentary 'rita.
The Margarita Festival promises more seating and shade, improved VIP sections and new seating areas that include the Cabo Wabo Backyard and Corona Beach.
Best part of the whole deal? You can bring your pup.
While general admission tickets are available online and at the door (VIP are all gone), the event has sold out in the past, so be sure to get 'em soon.
