Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille is getting a second waterfront location in west St. Petersburg. The new Doc Ford’s will live at 8790 Bay Pines Blvd. and arrives more than year after Doc’s opened on the St. Pete Pier.

The new location is set to take over an old Green Iguana location that closed back in 2012, next to Boca Ciega Resort near Madeira Beach. An opening date has yet to be announced, but HM Restaurant Group hopes to have the location open by the end of 2021, according to St. Pete Rising.

A menu hasn’t been announced either, but if it’s anything like the other four Florida locations, you can expect (an appropriately) seafood forward menu, though there are options for every palate.

Whether you’re in the mood for fried calamari and paella or Caribbean jerk tostados and baby back ribs, Doc Ford’s has you covered. You can also expect rotating happy hour and bar plate specials.
