Sea Dog Brewing Company already has two locations in Tampa Bay—one restaurant in Clearwater and another on Treasure Island. But on Feb. 14, Gulfport will be home to the Sea Dog Cantina, Sea Dog Brewing's first Mexican restaurant and tequila bar.
Gulfport’s newest Mexican joint will open at 2832 Beach Blvd. S., out of the downtown space that was formerly occupied by the food hall concept, The Artisan. The food hall closed its doors last summer, and the Sea Dog crew immediately took the space over, turning the waterfront eatery into the casual Mexican spot it is now.
Sea Dog Cantina, which is owned and operated by Sea Dog Brewing Company, will have extensive beer and spirits offerings alongside its menu of classic Mexican favorites like tacos, burritos, chimichangas and Chile rellenos. There will also be three speciality beers from Sea Dog Brewing Company and its parent corporation, Shipyard Brewing Company, that can only be purchased at Sea Dog Cantina.
Sea Dog Cantina's last post on Facebook depicts a nearly-finished restaurant with patio seating, an outdoor lounge area, and a full-service bar. The caption reads “Opening day is right around the corner!”
Take your partner to the newly opened Sea Dog Cantina for Valentine's Day dinner next week, and check out all of the hype for yourself.
